Inspired HR Roundup - Breathe HR Summit, Family Leave Masterclass & More!
Breathe HR Summit...
Last week, Nikki and the team attended the Breathe HR Partner Summit 2026, and it was an incredible event from start to finish.
Inspired Minds was proud to be a headline sponsor, supporting a fantastic day that brought together partners, HR specialists and business leaders from across the UK to share ideas, insights and best practice.
There was even more good news to celebrate... Inspired HR was named a Finalist for Partner of the Year at the Breathe HR Awards. To be recognised as a leading partner within the Breathe community is a huge achievement for our team.
And, we were thrilled to see Nikki win Community Champion of the Year! This award celebrates the work she does supporting the wider HR and business community, championing collaboration, sharing knowledge and helping others grow.
Alongside this, Inspired HR is now a Platinum Breathe HR Partner. This means we can offer even more value to the businesses we support, including potential savings on annual subscriptions, free access to additional modules until the end of the year and early access to new Breathe features.
If you are looking for HR software that is properly set up and supported by experts who understand your business, we would love to help.

ERA Upcoming Changes…
April is bringing a number of important employment law changes that employers must be aware of.
From 6th April, statutory family-related pay rates will increase. Statutory Maternity Pay, Adoption Pay and Shared Parental Pay will rise to £194.32 per week, up from £187.18. Maternity Allowance will also increase to £194.32 per week or 90 percent of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
The minimum average weekly earnings threshold required to qualify for statutory family-related payments will increase to £129.
There are also changes to paternity leave. Paternity leave itself will become a Day 1 right, meaning employees will no longer need 26 weeks’ service to take leave. However, the 26-week qualifying period will still apply for statutory paternity pay. A new right will also be introduced allowing bereaved partners to take up to 52 weeks of unpaid paternity leave in one continuous block.
Statutory Sick Pay is also increasing. From 6th April, the weekly rate will rise from £118.75 to £123.25. In addition, SSP will now be payable from day one of sickness absence following the removal of the three unpaid waiting days under the Employment Rights Act 2025.
If you would like help preparing for the April changes, the Inspired HR team is here to support you including a brand-new masterclass focusing on family leave. Scroll down to learn more!

Find Out Your Score…
How HR compliant is your business really?
Most employers think they’ve got things covered… until they take a proper look.
That’s exactly why we created our HR Compliance Check Scorecard.
It’s a quick, practical assessment that helps you see what you’re already doing well and where there might be a few gaps to tighten up.
You’ll be scored across four key areas:
• Employment Law
• Employees
• Recruitment
• HR Documentation and Data Compliance
Once you’ve completed the check, your results are calculated instantly. We’ll show you what you’re nailing and where there’s room to strengthen things.
We Need Your Help...
Nikki and Jannine have just returned from a productive book retreat where they’ve been working on the first title in their upcoming series.
The first book is designed to give HR teams practical insight and confidence when supporting neurodiverse employees in the workplace.
We are now looking for 6 to 10 beta readers from the HR community to help shape the final version.
We’re looking for HR professionals who can:
• Represent the target audience for the book. All levels of HR are welcome to express their interest
• Provide honest feedback on whether the content is inspiring, engaging, clear and useful
• Tell us if the level is right or if anything feels too technical
• Help spot the typos
• Support us in refining the final version before publication
As a thank you, beta readers will be named and acknowledged in the book.
If you would like to register your interest in becoming a beta reader or receiving updates about the pre-sale, please click here.
